Cell therapy helps to normalize tissue trophism, improve blood supply, modulate the work of the immune system, reduce the external and internal manifestations of psoriasis and achieve remission.
Stem cells and exosomes for skin and joint psoriasis
Psoriasis is a complex autoimmune disease, the treatment of which requires an individual approach. Ignoring psoriasis leads to the progression of the disease, the possible development of joint problems and a significant decrease in the quality of life.
Roman Sulik, MD, coordinator of cell therapy programs, neurologist of the highest qualification category
Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune disease that primarily affects the skin. According to the Ministry of Health, more than a million Ukrainians are sick with it. The main manifestations of psoriasis are the appearance of red, dry spots (papules) raised above the surface of the skin. In addition, up to 30% of patients also have psoriatic arthritis — joint inflammation caused by psoriasis.
Classical therapy of psoriasis includes taking immunomodulatory drugs and various procedures (ultraviolet treatment, salt and sun baths, etc.). Unfortunately, such treatment is not always effective and can sometimes have certain side effects.
GOOD CELLS doctors offer an individual psoriasis treatment program using mesenchymal stem cells and exosomes. Such therapy helps to reduce the manifestations of psoriasis and helps to control the disease more effectively.
The types of products that GOOD CELLS offers for the treatment of psoriasis:● mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) of adipose tissue;● exosomes from mesenchymal stem cells.
This therapy is suitable for the following cases:● people for whom the standard drug or non-drug treatment for psoriasis does not help or causes serious side effects;● patients for whom psoriasis and its manifestations significantly reduce the quality of life;● patients with mild forms of psoriasis who want to cope with local and maximally natural treatment;● those who are looking for an alternative to drug immunomodulatory therapy.
Indications for the treatment of psoriasis with stem cells
This treatment is indicated for patients aged 18 years and older with confirmed moderate psoriasis.
Contraindications:
● oncological diseases or their presence in the anamnesis for the past 5 years;● pregnancy;● mental disorders and psychological instability;● alcohol and drug addiction.
Cell therapy for psoriasis treatment
An individual treatment program will be made based on your medical history, individual characteristics, and previous treatment.
The use of cell therapy does not guarantee complete recovery, but thanks to the immunomodulatory functions of cells and exosomes, it is possible to influence the very cause of psoriasis — failures in the immune system.
As a result of the treatment, you will experience a significant reduction in the manifestations of the disease:● improvement of skin and nails;● getting rid of pain and other unpleasant sensations in the affected areas;● reducing the need for medication;● reduction of joint manifestations of the disease.
Such results are observed due to the normalization of the work of the immune system, restoration of innervation, and normal metabolic processes of connective tissues and skin.
The treatment process
1. Consultation with a manager
Please contact our managers. This does not oblige you to anything. They will be happy to answer all your questions. This is a necessary step to determine exactly how we can help you.
At this stage, we need to obtain your medical data to confirm the diagnosis. The manager will offer to fill out a questionnaire about the course of the disease, the presence of concomitant pathologies and family history, and leave a photo of the affected areas and the results of previous MRI studies (if available). If necessary, online consultation with a doctor will be conducted.
2. Consultation with a doctor
All treatment programs begin with confirmation of the diagnosis. At a personal consultation, the doctor develops an individual treatment program and, if necessary, prescribes additional tests. We will study all your medical data in detail to make sure that the therapy will be effective for you. Treatment takes place in our clinic in Kyiv.
3. Health condition assessment
Your doctor will assess your readiness for cell therapy. If all is well, he will prescribe donor mesenchymal stem cells from adipose tissue.
Also, in mild cases of the disease or as an additional local therapy, the doctor may recommend the use of other biotechnological products, in particular exosomes.
4. Preparation of the stem cell product
According to the prescription of the doctor, the biotechnologist will select the necessary amount of a ready sample of donor cells from our cryobank, which has been checked for safety in advance. In this case, the procedure of introducing cells can take place after diagnostics and preparation.
5. Start of treatment
Before starting the treatment, the patient undergoes a preliminary diagnosis and examination. Diagnosis may include blood tests for C-reactive protein, uric acid, rheumatoid factor, interleukin-17, etc. The presence of the articular form of psoriasis necessarily includes additional diagnostics (Anti-SSR, ANA screening, MRI and other studies if necessary) to exclude other diseases, such as lupus.
Also, the program may include additional medical treatment.
7. Injection of the cellular product, the regeneration phase
As part of the treatment, the doctor may prescribe intravenous cell therapy and/or local administration of an exosomal product. Depending on the complexity of the case, the course may consist of 1-2 injections.
For each patient, the doctor provides an individual prognosis of the therapy effectiveness.
8. Medical conclusion and recommendations after treatment
At the end of the course, you will be provided with a medical report, which will include the diagnosis, the results of all examinations (clinical-laboratory and instrumental), treatment methods and recommendations. The doctor will provide recommendations to support and improve your condition.
9. We keep in touch
After treatment, our patients must maintain contact with the clinic. In the second, third and sixth months after the treatment, our manager will contact you and offer to fill out a questionnaire, if necessary, to talk to the doctor about the success of the treatment. Throughout the program, you will be in contact with a personal manager who will ensure easy communication between you and the doctor, in order to monitor the dynamics of treatment.

FAQ
Can cell therapy help cure psoriasis permanently?
Unfortunately no. But the cells can fight the cause of psoriasis - a malfunction of the immune cells. Due to the powerful immunomodulatory effect, cell therapy can help significantly reduce the manifestations of the disease, and in some cases, to enter a stable remission for 10-20 years.
Does cell therapy help treat the joint form of psoriasis?
Yes. But this form of the disease requires a much deeper diagnosis to exclude the possibility of other diseases. With this form of psoriasis, the doctor can also prescribe local introduction of biotechnological products.
What are the possible side effects of using stem cells and exosomes?
No serious side effects have been reported when cell therapy is used to treat psoriasis. After the injection of cells, short-term side reactions are possible in the form of redness of the injection area and a slight increase in temperature.
Does cell therapy exclude the use of medications?
No, it does not. A reduction in the dose of medications or the possibility of their withdrawal is recommended by the doctor based on the results of the therapy. Stem cells are not a panacea and are prescribed comprehensively.
