Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune disease that primarily affects the skin. According to the Ministry of Health, more than a million Ukrainians are sick with it. The main manifestations of psoriasis are the appearance of red, dry spots (papules) raised above the surface of the skin. In addition, up to 30% of patients also have psoriatic arthritis — joint inflammation caused by psoriasis.
Classical therapy of psoriasis includes taking immunomodulatory drugs and various procedures (ultraviolet treatment, salt and sun baths, etc.). Unfortunately, such treatment is not always effective and can sometimes have certain side effects.

At this stage, we need to obtain your medical data to confirm the diagnosis. The manager will offer to fill out a questionnaire about the course of the disease, the presence of concomitant pathologies and family history, and leave a photo of the affected areas and the results of previous MRI studies (if available).If necessary, online consultation with a doctor will be conducted.
2. Consultation with a doctor
All treatment programs begin with confirmation of the diagnosis. At a personal consultation, the doctor develops an individual treatment program and, if necessary, prescribes additional tests. We will study all your medical data in detail to make sure that the therapy will be effective for you. Treatment takes place in our clinic in Kyiv.
3. Health condition assessment
Your doctor will assess your readiness for cell therapy. If all is well, he will prescribe donor mesenchymal stem cells from adipose tissue.
Also, in mild cases of the disease or as an additional local therapy, the doctor may recommend the use of other biotechnological products, in particular exosomes.
4. Preparation of the stem cell product
According to the prescription of the doctor, the biotechnologist will select the necessary amount of a ready sample of donor cells from our cryobank, which has been checked for safety in advance. In this case, the procedure of introducing cells can take place after diagnostics and preparation.
5. Start of treatment
Before starting the treatment, the patient undergoes a preliminary diagnosis and examination. Diagnosis may include blood tests for C-reactive protein, uric acid, rheumatoid factor, interleukin-17, etc. The presence of the articular form of psoriasis necessarily includes additional diagnostics (Anti-SSR, ANA screening, MRI and other studies if necessary) to exclude other diseases, such as lupus.

Also, the program may include additional medical treatment.
7. Injection of the cellular product, the regeneration phase
As part of the treatment, the doctor may prescribe intravenous cell therapy and/or local administration of an exosomal product. Depending on the complexity of the case, the course may consist of 1-2 injections.
For each patient, the doctor provides an individual prognosis of the therapy effectiveness.
8. Medical conclusion and recommendations after treatment
At the end of the course, you will be provided with a medical report, which will include the diagnosis, the results of all examinations (clinical-laboratory and instrumental), treatment methods and recommendations. The doctor will provide recommendations to support and improve your condition.

Can cell therapy help cure psoriasis permanently?
Unfortunately no. But the cells can fight the cause of psoriasis - a malfunction of the immune cells. Due to the powerful immunomodulatory effect, cell therapy can help significantly reduce the manifestations of the disease, and in some cases, to enter a stable remission for 10-20 years.
Does cell therapy help treat the joint form of psoriasis?
Yes. But this form of the disease requires a much deeper diagnosis to exclude the possibility of other diseases.With this form of psoriasis, the doctor can also prescribe local introduction of biotechnological products.
What are the possible side effects of using stem cells and exosomes?
No serious side effects have been reported when cell therapy is used to treat psoriasis. After the injection of cells, short-term side reactions are possible in the form of redness of the injection area and a slight increase in temperature.
Does cell therapy exclude the use of medications?
No, it does not. A reduction in the dose of medications or the possibility of their withdrawal is recommended by the doctor based on the results of the therapy. Stem cells are not a panacea and are prescribed comprehensively.
