Alzheimer's disease falls into the dementia family and accounts for about 70% of all dementias. It is associated with the accumulation of pathological protein, which is deposited between neurons, destroying the connections between them and disrupting the normal functioning of the brain. As a result, a person begins to lose memory, correct meaningful understanding of the environment, and the sense of human social ties.
As for the treatment effectiveness, we are talking primarily about the slow-down of the disease progression. For some time, it can stabilize the patient's condition, improve memory, and communication skills. Still, it largely depends on the stage of the disease.
If we refer to neurodegenerative diseases, the GOOD CELLS team proposes neural crest-derived multipotent stem cells. If the basis of dementia or encephalopathy is inflammation (e.g., amyloid angiopathy) or autoimmune component, mesenchymal stem cells from adipose tissue or umbilical cord could be prescribed. Moreover, MSCs can be used with tumor necrosis factor, anti-inflammatory cytokines to produce a special sensitization of this cellular material to the pathological inflammatory process.

Online/offline consultation with a doctor 

A personal consultation with a doctor is an excellent opportunity for you to find out all details of the program and get an individual prognosis. All the medical information you provide will be carefully reviewed so that you get the most effective treatment. The procedures take place in our clinical institutions in Kyiv, Ukraine. The course of the treatment is developed individually and lasts for 3 days and above.



During the checkup, the doctor assesses your readiness for cell therapy. If the assessment is positive, biological materials are taken. Depending on your doctor's recommendations, you may be prescribed your own* or donor stem cells.
*If you are prescribed the treatment with your own cells, you will have an ear punch biopsy performed under anesthesia in an operating room. The procedure lasts for 15 minutes. The punch depth is up to 4 mm, and the diameter is up to 3 mm.


Preparation of the stem cell product

OWN CELLSAfter the biomaterials are collected, our team of biotechnologists will prepare a therapeutic dose of stem cells. In our laboratory, we will select stem cells from your sample, grow the required number of cells, test them, then create a stem cell product for your treatment. Usually, the production takes up to 21 days.
DONOR CELLSAccording to the doctor's prescription, the biotechnologist will select a ready-made and pre-tested sample of donor cells from our cryobank in the required quantity. In this case, cell injection can happen immediately after diagnosis and drug preparation.
CULTIVATION WITH CYTOKINESThe doctor may also prescribe the injection of cells processed by tumor necrosis factor. In this case, the cells are processed 5-7 days before the patient's visit, so it is necessary to plan your visit accordingly. Otherwise, the duration of treatment may increase by another 5-7 days.


Start of treatment

You will have a consultation with a doctor, ultrasound, additional examinations, and tests during the first visit to the clinic.


Pharmacological therapy

Based on the diagnostic results, your doctor will prescribe drug therapy with intravenous infusion and intramuscular injection.


Injection of the cellular product, the regeneration phase

As part of treatment, the doctor may prescribe intravenous cell therapy, endolumbar, and perilymphatic administration of the stem cells.


Medical assessment report and weakening of the basic treatment 

You will be provided with a medical assessment report that states the diagnosis, the examination results (clinical, laboratory, and instrumental), the treatment process, and further recommendations. The doctor will examine you, select the necessary treatment, or adjust the one prescribed to you at the time of arrival at the clinic.


Keeping in touch

The first results can be observed in 2 weeks after cell therapy. You will see the improvement of the regenerative processes in the body in the third and sixth months after treatment.
Throughout the program, you will have a personal manager who will ensure the best communication between you and the clinic. After treatment, our patients are advised to maintain contact with us. We'll ask you to fill out a questionnaire in 3 and 6 months after the treatment to evaluate the progress and answer all questions.

Scientific evidence

More than 20 clinical trials have been registered on ClinicalTrials.gov to evaluate the safety and efficacy of various stem cell-based products against Alzheimer's disease.
The effectiveness of autologous adipose tissue stromal-vascular fraction introduction was shown in a 3-year phase 1 clinical trial. 31 patients with various neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, were enrolled in the study.
In Alzheimer's disease, the cell product administration did not affect the MRI results, except for one patient whose hippocampal volume increased from <5th percentile to 48th percentile. Stabilization of the disease and improvement of cognitive abilities was observed in 8 out of 10 patients. Decreased levels of P-tau and ß-amyloid were noted in two patients.
